Welcome to The Learning Village! The Learning Village is one of the programmes that we use to support our children with English as an addition language.

LANGUAGE OF THE MONTH
Each month we feature a ‘Language of the Month’ to be promoted both within the classroom and around the school. The language will often be one spoken as a first language by some of the children within this school. Each month the language changes.Teachers receive a guide sheet to get them started; these are used as children come into class; when taking the register etc. If classes have children who speak a second language they can lead some class teaching of words and phrases. We display the languages and phrases in the front foyer and record the children's voices so that everyone can hear the correct pronounciation.
